Low-Cost Sensor Provides Leading Imaging Performance and Outstanding Durability
PHOENIX-July 18, 2005-Validity Sensors Inc., an acknowledged innovator of reliable high performance fingerprint solutions, today announced the release of the latest addition to its fingerprint sensor product line.
The new compact VFS131 sensor family features products for integration into notebook PCs and USB peripherals. VFS131 products maintain the leading imaging performance and outstanding durability of Validity's LiveFlexTM Technology, all in a new compact modular package. Multiple module options are available that provide all the component variations necessary for easy integration into both notebooks and peripherals.
The VFS131 uses Validity's patented LiveFlexTM Technology to read deep into the living tissue of a finger through a robust flexible plastic film. LiveFlexTM also provides superior image quality and high resistance to impact and ESD.
"The VFS131 extends the capabilities and advantages of our existing products by providing our customers with an excellent sensor choice where a reduced form factor is a requirement," said Jeff Andersen, VP of sales at Validity.
