Recognizing Validity’s Excellence in Fingerprint Sensor Technology Innovation
CES 2010 Las Vegas and San Jose, California, January 6, 2010 - Validity Sensors, Inc., a privately-held biometric sensor company specializing in convenient, secure and reliable fingerprint authentication solutions, announced that it has received Frost & Sullivan’s 2009 New Product Innovation of the Year Award, for the non-AFIS Fingerprint Silicon Sensors market. The award is given in recognition of Validity’s VFS301 fingerprint sensor and the Company’s constant pioneering efforts in the fingerprint biometrics market.
“Validity’s patented architecture and unique technology of separating the ASIC from the fingerprint sensor and using Kapton plastic for the sensor allow the Company to make a durable, high-performing fingerprint sensor. Validity’s value-added features include the industry’s first back-lit LED fingerprint sensors, industry-first color sensors, and flush sensors. These features improve the performance of the sensor by offering better ergonomics and industrial design, leading to an enhanced end-user experience.
