Highlighting the Convenience and Security features of Validity’s Fingerprint Sensors
San Jose, California, January 22, 2009 - Validity Sensors, Inc., a privately-held biometric sensor company specializing in convenient, secure and reliable fingerprint authentication solutions, launched its Ease of Use, Ease of Mind™ marketing campaign at the CES show in Las Vegas in January 2009.
The campaign demonstrates how Validity’s fingerprint sensors provide improved security and convenience compared to the traditional model of maintaining a multitude of complex passwords for logging on to personal computing devices and web-based applications.
Part of the campaign focuses on educating consumers about using fingerprint sensors found on Notebook PCs such as HP Pavilion DV3000, DV5, DV7 and HDX16 models, and Acer’s Aspire 6920 and 8920 models. Validity is also engaged in discussions with its key OEM partners so that they in-turn can educate their customers about the benefits of fingerprint sensors.
“As the number and complexity of passwords increase, there is a need for more convenient methods of authentication and password control. Validity’s fingerprint sensors provide consumers with a more convenient and secure option,” said Mariel van Tatenhove, VP of Marketing at Validity. "The Ease of Use, Ease of Mind campaign shows how fingerprint sensors improve user experience at the computer. It also helps consumers and OEM customers recognize the value of fingerprint sensors beyond their current applications and into various aspects of a person’s life.”
