  • Rob Baxter
    Chief Executive Officer

    Mr. Baxter has over 30 years of global semiconductor experience in Consumer, Telecom, and Automotive markets. Prior to joining Validity, he was at SiRF Technology as Senior Vice President. Prior to joining SiRF, he was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Centrality Communications, where he led the company through the acquisition by SiRF in August 2007.

    Mr. Baxter has also served as Chief Executive Officer at Xanoptix / Xan3D Technologies, as Senior Vice President and Member of Office of the President at Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing, and as Vice President and General Manager of several Divisions in Motorola Semiconductor Product Sector (now known as Freescale) based in Europe, the United States and Asia during a 16-year career.

  • Rick Santos
    Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer

    Mr. Santos brings over twenty years of financial management experience with public and private technology companies to Validity. Prior to joining Validity, Mr. Santos held senior controller positions at Intel, the last of which was Group Controller for Intel's Digital Home and Consumer Electronics businesses. With direct involvement in over $1 billion in private equity placements and M&A transactions, Mr. Santos is uniquely qualified to guide Validity's financial growth. Mr. Santos has held senior financial positions with a wide variety of technology companies and public accounting firms, including: Intel, Exar, Fundamental Software, VxTel, and Deloitte & Touche. As CFO of VxTel, Mr. Santos was instrumental in raising over $80 million in private equity funding and played a pivotal role in the acquisition of VxTel by Intel Corporation.

  • Alex Erhart
    Executive Vice President, Products

    Prior to his tenure as Executive Vice President of Products, Mr. Erhart served as startup-CEO of Validity from 2003 through 2005. Mr. Erhart's experience includes his position as General Manager, Biometrics Division of National Semiconductor Corporation, and founder and Chief Executive Officer of Vivid Semiconductor, Inc., a venture backed LCD panel technology start-up that was purchased by National Semiconductor. Mr. Erhart holds 32 patents, has authored ten technical publications, and has presented technical papers at several major semiconductor industry conferences. Mr. Erhart has also served on the Board of three private technology companies and one charitable organization.

  • Larry Hattery
    Vice President, Software

    Prior to joining Validity, Larry was President of TriplePoint, Inc. where he worked for 15 years providing software development services to a wide array of silicon, hardware and software companies including Intel, Microsoft, Broadcom, Intersil, Symbol, Compaq and many others. He brings over twenty years of software leadership experience bringing high volume devices to market. He graduated from Montana State University in 1984 with a BS in Computer Science, and continued graduate studies at Oregon Graduate Institute (OS Design, Networking & Protocols, UI Design, Data Base Design, VLSI Design). While at Validity, he has grown the software team from a few developers in 2006 into a world class production team spanning across the US, India, Taiwan and Armenia.

  • Jeff Parker
    Vice President, Product Management

    Mr. Parker brings over twenty years of management experience and a history of creating innovative products in the personal computer industry to Validity. Prior to joining Validity, he spent seventeen years managing global hardware and software development teams at Hewlett Packard Co. Mr. Parker also spent a few years as an electrical engineer at Underwriters Laboratories and the Motorola Energy Systems Group.

    Mr. Parker's accomplishments include management of a $300M worldwide accessories business, the expansion of the ProtectTools security solution into the world's leading OEM suite of hardware and software, and creating over 20 patents and defensive publications. Mr. Parker holds an Electrical Engineering degree from Florida State University.

  • Michael J. Maia
    Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Marketing

    Mr. Maia brings over 30 years of experience in the electronics industry to his position as Vice President Worldwide Sales and Marketing. Most recently, he was Vice President Sales and Marketing Americas at Kionix, where he was responsible for product marketing, business development and N. American sales for inertial sensors. Before joining Kionix, Mr. Maia served as Vice President for the Gaming and 3D User-Interface Business Unit at InvenSense, Inc., focused on marketing and system engineering for gaming, TV, toy, sports, medical and consumer appliance markets for MEMS motion processing. Maia developed a strong entrepreneurial background as a co-founder of PortalPlayer, Inc. At PortalPlayer, he developed a unique business model ecosystem for their industry-leading media player technology that resulted in design wins with consumer electronics leaders such as Apple, Samsung, and Philips and, ultimately, an IPO with over $225M in revenue. Prior to that, he held various senior sales and marketing positions at National Semiconductor, Cirrus Logic, and Trident Microsystems where he was instrumental in Trident's initial public offering.

    Mr. Maia received his B.S. from San Francisco State University before going on to complete his M.B.A. from St. Mary's College.

  • Sudhakaran Ram
    Vice President, Mobile Engineering

    Mr. Ram has over 18 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. Prior to joining Validity, he was Director of Hardware Engineering at NVIDIA where he lead the design and production launch of the successful Tegra 1 and Tegra 2 Applications Processors. As Vice President of Engineering at PortalPlayer (prior to it's acquisition by NVIDIA), he lead silicon development of the industry leading media player technology that lead to design wins at Apple, Sandisk, Philips and Samsung. Prior to that, he held various senior design engineering positions at Neomagic and LSI Logic.

    Mr. Ram holds an M.S in Electrical Engineering from Utah State University.
